Gutter Cleaning
Gutters are open at the top to catch rainwater flowing from the roof, directing it into the downspouts. Downspouts are the vertical, closed sections of the gutter system that direct the water from the roof to ground level. Without these two things in place, rain from your gutters would soak directly into your foundation, causing serious damage to the structure, as well as the items located inside of it.
When gutters become clogged, rain will quickly overwhelm them, and prohibit them from functioning properly. This effect is even more pronounced during the winter months, when you may notice large amounts of icicles forming on the gutters. This frequently causes the gutters to detach from the house, and necessitates either replacement or repair. The time to clean your gutters is in fall after the leaves drop, BEFORE this happens!
